just that, read here a while ago that you do not need to bother trying to break through the modern russian SAM systems ( like SA-21 Growler). They seem to be invincible, at least in the game.

They are very much killable. Certainly they are a challenge and you shouldn't expect to be able to neutralize them with a couple of HARMs like you would a SA-2. If there are multiple SA-21s within an IADS (including SHORAD protecting them), you should anticipate having to conduct a well-coordinated SEAD/DEAD strike with a significant commitment of assets.
