loading a colony ship with just one species

Playing as human, I have colonized a teekan independent. This gave me a colony that is about 85% teekan, rest human. When I load an empty colony ship at this planet, I get about the same proportion mixed together. I assume even a small human pop on an unsuitable planet is detrimental in some ways. Is there a way to load 100% teekan (or whatever the case may be) in order to have only suitable species on my target planet?

Not yet, but a good idea. Maybe there is a pause and a screen comes up where you can set the percentage of the race(s) that you want....GP

yeah, also wondered that - if I have colony with two races 50/50 and another planet that is good only for one of them, there should be an option to board only that race. I actually was surprised when I did not find this

I am surprised hearing about this stupid concept at all ..
Building a Colony Ship somewhere was always about exploiting the main races features, when has this changed ?

I know I've seen a page that displays the different races on a planet. Haven't explored it but perhaps there is a way to order different races to emigrate away from the world on that or on the planets detail window. Not familiar enough yet to say for sure but check the planets page and the window that gives specifics on the different races on the planet. Their could possibly be a way to set who boards a colony ship on those windows as well, not sure though, need to check into it.

Set the "population policy" for the species you want to load into the colony ship to "resettle" on that planet and it'll prioritize loading up that species. Just remember to change it back after.

I have 2 recommendations to get around this I have been using
1# Set up a mini homeworld per species with just that race you can then load colonists from there with no issue this also helps with mass migration later on
2# Manually ask a colony ship to load up but once the ship starts to pick up people stop the command the tiny populations have a lower chance of instant rebellion if you only put a few thousand people on a world.
