Hi there
Its being a couple of planets now, desert, ice, and earth like I think...and I keep getting only water mines when prospecting.
Like 4 water mines in each region more or less. Also very little ruins and towns.
Its there anyway to get a lot of all that instead of so little.
I normally chose like 20+ mining in the planet generation screen but only get a lot of water mines with that .

The issues is that Metals need to be abundant in the planets crust and not already mined out in the Pre collapse phase.

We are pretty certain that most of those lone ruins somewhere in nowhere are former mining outposts turned cities, turned ruins.

So planets with mining activity will have no mines in the game?

Ironically yes.

The issues is that all the Deposits (that you could reach with post collapse tech) are propably mined out a century ago. High metalicity with late or limited mining - that is the ideal I think.

Of course being mined out usually means ruins, which also give you Metals. Hopefully enough for you to get to Soil Demetallisation.

Also note that depeneding on difficulty, the Major AI's and even the palyer are given a guaranteed Metal Mine spot. You can try to use that.

Yep I was saving metal for that tech. 1st level takes a ton of it, I expect next tiers will require absurd quantities of it.

Now I miss that game when I needed a metal depot to store all the metal I was gettin from multiple a mines
I guess in this planets railway will be a no go
