WarPlan Pacific - a gem

First off, what a fine job of rendering up an exceedingly complex situation into something not just clear and functional visually, but quite elegant in the game mechanics and the scales chosen. It's done in the strategically engrossing grand old boardgame style, deceptively easy to get into, and with a clean crisp feel to it allowing for many sub-layers of operational and even tactical modelling.
I'm a player and published scenario designer from way back and it is this work that finally has me diving into the Pacific war, something I have wanted to do for ages but was always put off by what was available. It is a rare treat to have the designer so available for comments and questions on his forum. Definitely my best game acquisition so far in 2022. To be released on Steam shortly.
:EDIT: WarPlan clearly also a fine game; I just haven't had the time to get deeply into it (yet).
