To give a better sense of immersion to the soon to be released "Stalingrad", here is a wikipedia map of the entire East Front in Summer 1942. The area in green is covered by the game at 2500m/hex, 6 hours/turn.

This again the Stalingrad area, this time superimposed over a map of the Caucasus. The game covers the approach to the city in July-September and then the fight inside the city (at 500m/hex). The scenarios and campaigns cover the approach to the city by 6.Ar, 1PzA and they Italian and Rumanian forces.

A sneak peek from beta testing: a zoom-in onto the "Stalingrad" game master map. Covering the bend of the Don and the Volga river around Stalingrad. The overall map gives a good sense of where each scenario is and what role it played in an overall large campaign. One can see the two pincers (6thArmy and 1st Panzer Army)
crossing the Don (the southern forces being diverted from the drive on the caucasus).

Several areas are highlighted, each covering some (but not all!) of the scenarios and the linked campaigns.
The area around the city has its own sub map at 500m/hex and includes several high detail scenarios. Each scenario covers a few days of specific event of the campaign.
They vary in complexity and some include Red Army counterattacks. There is a lot of movement across every map.
