Wrong Choice ... You loose... next game.

On some of these decision events and events in general are way to powerful in this game. You should not lose the game basically because you chose the wrong side of a decision event or take a city or a ton of other stuff that makes way to big of a difference in the game. Your game and combat mechanics are so good, but you punish your players unless they know exactly what event does what, every inch of the map and that taking a specific city before your game thinks you should ends up costing you the game. We put way to much time into a game to have to ruined by an event.
just my two cents of input....

This is the tech support page. Interesting observation but why not throw it up on the main forum for the rest of us to ponder? (or is this an argument that one of the basic mechanics of this game is broken and needs immediate fixing?)

Hi
I'd be very interested to have some specific examples.
Full details of all the Decision Events are included in the Strategy Guides, and if we need to either improve the descriptions, or change some of the consequences then we'll be very happy to consider doing so.
I do agree with OldCrowBalthazor that this will be better posted in the main forum so we can generate some discussion and further ideas to improve the game.
If you are able to find a few moments to start a thread there then please do.
Thanks
Bill

Several are game loosers... if you choose the wrong option on almost any Decision Event its over.
Anything that has a > 3% swing for USA or Russia is doom. You could literally go over every DE in the game.
I prefer skill to luck in a game... part of the reason your game is so dam good.
I just lost a game pushing USA > 48% just because I was doing very good in china (this was less than 15 turns into the game). You are doing too dam good... You loose... Next game.

Your concern is true, some decision events are very one-sided, as the disadvantages are much bigger than the advantages. You really need to have played the game a lot to know this. What springs to mind is the decision to get Peru into the Axis. The war readiness it leads to for the case of the USA makes this a very bad decision, I am not aware that any players have developed a good strategy by saying yes to this decision (although it might be possible).
However, the thing with China you are referrring to has nothing to do with decision events. If Japan conquers or moves into certain parts of China, it will trigger US war readiness. This is not communicated well on the map or in ingame messages. For new players (and sometimes veterans) this leads to a gameplay you didnt plan for. I see no reason why this information should be hidden in patch notes.
Perhaps the moderator can move the thread to the right forum?
