Automated fleets not acting according to tactics. Suiciding into much larger threats.

The automation are sending and or suggesting based on settings to suicide into a vordikar that is over quadruple their strength.

I can't even manually command them to attack the Voracta system in this screenshot because it says I have no fleet strong enough, yet the automation popup on the right side is suggested it, before this screen shot I had it set to automatically and they flew into the vordikars, despite having attack fleets set to leave if enemy strength is 100 percent more, they stayed and last half hte fleet, Either i'm not understand what those settings acutally do, or they are not working.

I would expect a fleet with power 150 against 2 vordikars combining over 1000, to immediately go back to base as soon as they saw they were about to attack somthing that strong.

Embrace the power of missile boats. 10 Conc Escorts, set to run away if shield/armor takes hits and I rarely need to top any of the fleets off with new units. When you move into v2 and v3 stuff you even can take 1-5K groups. They will storm in kill one or two of the group and limbs off to repair.

You might be right the suggestion ignores difficulty, since my escorts can take them, I've never actually noticed.

Yes I've noticed this too. Is it possible the strength comparison is reversed and is making the comparison the wrong way around?

I hope this can get looked into, I think it's also making my raid fleets just attack the main attack fleets of the enemy instead of actually raiding and picking of mines/resorts etc.

What I have noticed with the automation, while having in on suggest mode, is that it does not attack the "system", but units. So it will see that one monsters and compared that to the fleet, if that is fine it will attack the whole 8k blob of them with a 1k fleet.

That may be, if so I'd expect them to immediately leave, when they were engaged against such overwhelming odds.
Yet they do not.

The advisor can be a bit ruthless at times, but if you have a save showing the advisor recommending that a fleet go fight something it could never beat, please share it with us per the reporting form here so that we have it for our reference.

Missiles are very strong especially early game vs space creatures. A single destroyer with tier 3 tech can easily solo most of them as long as they are not grouped.
