I can build Mining Stations around Suns .. I think this may not be intended.

Do those Suns produce Resources?

Maybe when I have Energy to Fuel converters

I am building one at the moment,
it is possible at every System I discovered.

I knew I could build resorts and research stations at the right suns.

It got built, is sitting near the sun and doing absolut nothing.

Damn! I had high hopes for my Local Stars...

It works as a shitty defense base

Mining Stations do explore places. I think that is why you can build them everywhere.
But they are usually fully surveyed at 5, I have seen it go up higher with resprt bases.

Note that mining the solar wind for gasses is not totally infeasible. But it is not a thing we can do in the game yet.

Yeah, i've never once seen a star that actually had resources, so i assume being able to build mining bases is essentially an oversight?

I mean I guess the option's there because they just share the same code as planets, but it doesn't seem like there's ever a reason to do it.
