Soviet Tank Division-Brigade conversions

If this happens, either via the depletion routine or forced conversion in Jan 42, does the resulting brigade retain any wins (towards Gds status)? My assumption is yes but not actually tracked this in practice.
Related question, do depleted Mech Divisions that flip to Rifle Divisions retain their wins?
I assume destroyed Rifle Divisions that come back to the reserve don't as they are effectively a new build formation (just using an older designation). I've seen depleted rifle divisions retain their wins (which makes sense)

I thinks the DEV department would know better than me, but look at it like in real life units get " battle honours " I would doubt that change in designation would take away awards.
However maybe the game is different.

Whenever mechanized divisions reform, i'm very certain they lose their wins. the tank brigades keep their wins usually, but i think any of them that are converted by the hard deadline in '42 don't keep their wins? i'm not sure.

thanks, that sort of fits my understanding, Realise you need to keep Gds brigades out of the early Tank Corps but I doubt many will get created in the first half of 1942 in any case (unless the Soviet player has a very good winter offensive).
So really the Mech divisions are a dead end, useful till the summer of 42 simply due to their mobility but then they get stuck with very obsolete kit and any wins are effectively lost.
