Mythological and Cultural System Names

I like the realistic system name mod, except it has a bit too many repeated greek letters for my taste. I know it's realistic, just not my preference. But taking out the greek letters and repeats gives you not nearly enough names! So I considered, if we were exploring a new galaxy... what would we name new stars? Probably after gods, or angels, or other (preferably ancient) cultural things.

So I grabbed some lists... angels, norse gods, egyptian gods, hindu gods, babylonian gods, japanese gods, D&D gods, folk heroes, greek heroes, Shakespearian characters, the hebrew alphabet, the sephirot, jewish monsters, numbers in a handful of languages, gemstones, and of course, real star names minus the greek letters and repetition.

The total list ended up around 2300... wait, now 4200 unique names, all of which seem culturally plausible to me.

If you like it, here you go! I labeled the categories in the file if you'd rather exclude any of it. If anyone has more suggestions for lists to include, I'm all ears.

Edit: Removed single quotes from star names, as this causes them to be truncated and also get rid of all star names after them on the list. Replaced with fancy quote mark instead. This should work, I think.

Edit 2: Added roughly 2000 more words and names, including Catholic Saints, Locations found in the Bible, Native American Deities, Slavic Deities (and Psuedo-Deities), Shape Names, Nobel Prize Winners (last names), Musical Terminology (lots of Italian)

Hm - you've got many additional new categories in your file (compared to the original / the other mods, that are already out there - they all only have " 'System names", so far) ... do you really know that the game uses them, too ? :?: (and if so, how do you ensure that the game notices/uses them ? - do you have a document or something for this ?)

EDIT: Oh, wait - I think I got it: the " ' " are signs for comments - and so they aren't used by the game at all, right ? (how stupid from me  )

Yeah, the single quote at the beginning of a line indicates a comment. They are ignored. Not sure why this was the marker they chose for comments, and I'm pretty sure quote marks are still allowed in star names. Actually... I should test that.

...

Welp, seems everything after a single quote is ignored, even within a star name... so I'd better reupload with all the quotes taken out of star names!

Why this ? - I thought you just wanted to delete the comment-signs.

Thanks a bunch, and the fact you kept them organized by themes mean we can remove the ones we don't want!

I suggest you pay a visit to Aurora, the nerdy 4X, they have an awesome database of names.
