Hello!
I know well the CE and the 20 classic versions included in the Ultimate edition because I played many of them during the years (and I still play them), but I know almost nothing about the 3 versions of H3 (ANW, ANW 3.9.4, H3 3.6.3) included in the Ultimate edition.
My copy of UE is patched with the last official patches from Matrix (3.11.1 and 2015.027); during the years I have tried only H2.
Looking around (mostly on YOUTUBE) seems to me that the most played version of H3 is the version 3.6.3 and the ANW 3.11.1 but, maybe I'm wrong, I have not found evidence that somebody use the version ANW 3.9.4).

I'm a newbie about H3 so I need your help ... what is the version most stable and played of the 3 versions offered in the Ultimate edition? why many regard so much the 3.6.3 and not the last ANW 3.11.1?
I'm not interested in MP so what is the one you do you recommend me? what are the differences between the 3 versions of H3 included in UE?
After having seen a very interesting video by HarPloked (I have subscribed to his channel) comparing the Classic version and the H3 version and detailing the differences, I have decided to try H3 but I don't know which of the 3 version to use (in that video he used the version 3.6.2 so the nearest offered by UE is the version 3.6.3 but I wanted to read your advice).

I'll give a quick super high-level view...

H3 3.6.3 is a very stable, updated and enhanced H2. Due to the stability it is probably the most played.

The newer versions are primarily used for multiplayer games which 3.6.3 does not offer. Don't get me wrong, there are very real enhancements to the game other than multiplayer but they were not all that mature which led most players back to 3.6.3

There are gory details in these forums (look at topics older than a year), on harplonk, etc.

Since I'm the HC programmer I have to chime in that we continue to enhance the game. Most of that action is at https://harpgamer.com but I'm hoping we can work with Matrix to publish an official patch this year.
