Some questions/problems Day-Night-Cycle

I already played WEGO WW2 Stalingrad a really long time. Most of the game mechanics are clear to me. But one thing I don`t get right. Day-Night-Cycle.
I am playing the first scenario of the 6th Army Strikes Campaign. According to the manual 1 day ist 5 turns. 4 dayturns. 1 nightturn. And I really struggle to know in advance if night is falling or not. And when.
Example: I am in the plannig phase. The game says turn 04/14. I hit the green button to advance to the replay phase. And now during the replay it is night. I assumed the night phase would take place after the planning phase turn 05/14.
Could you please explain how this actually works? When is it night and when not? And where can I find an indicator that I am planning an night move? In the planning phase the map was was still bright as if it was day and maybe I am missing something, but I can`t "read" the turn indicator (the graphicla one top left in the interface) either as it always looks the same in the planning phase.
And again: Really outstanding game. The best wargame release this year so far! My viewers on YT also seem to like the game quite much!

There are two other indicators besides the darkening of the map. There's the Day progress bar at the top. The "stars" in the right box on this bar indicates the night turn. The second indicator is on the right panel. A daylight image of halftracks with a sun icon is displayed for day planning and execution. The same image darkened with a moon icon is displayed for night planning and execution.

Thanks fot the answer!
Yes, this should be the way it should work I suppose. But in the planning phase (version 1.00.00) neither the Day Progress bar nor the second indicator are showing the "correct" info.
As I tried to explain above. It is turn 04/14. Planning phase. The Day Progress bar is still on the extreme left side of the bar (as it should just be on Turn 1 I suppose) and the second indicator on the right shows also a day move (the sun is up).
Then after hitting the green button to progress to the execution phase, the execution phase is at night. Both indicators show me that during the replay. So there seems to be a bug hidden somewhere.
What also feeds my supposition is that in the screenshot you posted the time on the right panel shows "Time: 18:00". In my games the time is always 06:00.

I have seen a similar bug (clock not updating, `night look' persisting), in the final movie replay. [this has been fixed as BK post below). Great!

Hi,
Great to hear you like the game!
That day/night thing is strange. There's a known bug (that I've fixed for a patch) in the final film replay where the day/night doesn't update, but I've never seen it during a normal game.
Can you save a game and email it to
saint_ruth1691@yahoo.ie?
Also if you start another game (same scenario), does it always happen?
Thanks!
Brian

Ah, now I see it. It only happens when the language isn't English ....which is very strange! But I'll hunt it down and fix it (no need to send save files).
Thanks for including those links. Great videos (thank you, Google translate).! I subscribed there too.
Desert War was more niche all right, but I think the game has improved a lot since then too.
Cheers,
Brian
