- how does the quality of the air and ground "card" assets affect their functionality?

Use/lose means you only get to use it once and then its gone for good.

My guess is that for Assets, quality will modify readiness recovery rates. For assets that are reusable, some have a minimum readiness condition before they can be used.

My question is whether used assets that have delayed return are recovering readiness as they sit on the bench, or do they return with the readiness attrition of the last deployment regardless of length of return delay.

Yes, units on the bench recover readiness.
