Is there some settings that speed up game play? This game runs very slow. In comparison a game like Stellaris even on a large galaxy runs much much faster than this.

Moving a squad that is out of LOS of the computer player takes something like 10 seconds for each hex moved.

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 8 core with 32 GB of RAM seems like it would be more than sufficient to handle the AI processing for this, so are there some tweaks that can be made to speed this up?

On big maps there could be a slower pace of the game. This is down to a LOS engine that does a lot of checks when units move. To speed things up you could do the follwing to free up the CPU:
- Close background programs
- Install an app that closes services that you don't need when you play the game.
I installed Razor Cortex on my old Laptop (i7 4702mq) and it made quite a difference and it is for free.
- Close the FX Sound. It is done by unticking the FX button in the Toolbar.

This should improve the speed

So is Scenario O13 - Oosterbeek Perimeter considered a large scenario then? I only uses a narrow sliver of the map, 10 hexes wide.

Also, while trying to play it, during the computer turn it tried to fire and decided it didn't have LOS, so a box pops up telling me that and the box cannot be dismissed.

I have never had to use Task Manager to kill a game more often than this one.

Press "Esc" is the solution.

Tried that, didn't work.

Well this is not a large scenario and runs very smooth and well on my i7 4702mq Laptop. Yes I have. Everytime I start TotH Razor turns off services och clears memory. I'll take a look and see how I did it and get back to you.

Sorry for the late response. I've been crazy busy at work. i did it like this.

1. Installed Razor Cortex

2. Manually installed the game in the Razor Cortex game library

3. Make sure that Auto-Boost is enabled in the Boost section

4. Razor will automatically boost the computer when you start the game
