Yesterday in a PBEM I dismantled a 36/36 army and the text said 50 PP recovered, then I dismantled an 18/18 corps and the text showed 70 PP recovered. happens to you?

I see that when dismantling a unit promotions are not taken into account, I think it would be good if they were taken into account.

I did a simulation in the first turn of the 1939 scenario, if I disband the Murmansk army I receive 74PP, if I divide that army into two corps, for each disbanded corps I receive 74PP.

I confirmed that myself. I don't know why as of yet because it is supposed to be based on the current strength value.

My unknowledgeable guess would be that it might hover around unit type.

Half armies do not really exist as buildable units...so perhaps the system thinks it is an "army" and it is full strength since it is 18 / 18...

Is it strength based as a percentage of max?
So a 36/36 army ends up the same as an 18/18 army....since the unit type for an 18/18 is the same as the unit type for 36/36?

In some quick testing...

18/18 = 36/36 = 90
9/18 = 18/36 = 45

So it appears to be a percentage of the unit type then strength, which is how it should be...

But I think the system thinks half armies are full armies because internally they have the same unit type value?

I'll figure it out.

If it can help, half army converted from a corps is giving back the correct PP amount when disbanded.

I bet if you merge it into an army...the split it will give you the higher amount.

It should give PPs based on the current health.

Same problem in WPP for all armies (China / Japan).
