Steam Cloud Saves overwriting Current Saves!

I turned off the Cloud save feature about 2 months ago, the Cloud saves seemed to be interfering with the main program. Was there a recent update on Steam? Well today I fired up the game and all my saves, except the autosave, had been overwritten by Cloud saves from two months ago!! Luckily the autosave was current. Please do NOT turn on Steam Cloud saving after an update!!
