Private Corporations

I think the game would do better if the AI was split into multiple corporations. For example you build a resort base and that resort base is then transferred to a an in game entity. That entity owns and operates its one passenger ships. It goal is to bring tourist from and to the resort base. Each mining station would be its own entity and control one or two transports that solely look for the best place to sell its wares. Independent traders could still exist to make up any short falls.

If an entity starts to fall into the red, you would either have to bail it out or liquidate it(Destroy the mining station). This way if a mining station isn't bringing in profit, you as the player will have to deal with it.

I think the AI being modularized would lead to better efficient decisions.

I like this idea, but it sounds like a major expansion change.

Thank you for the support. If an entity is profitable enough it could either expand and build mining vessels or reinvest capital in the general economy(put money into a massive pool for the creation of new entities)

Anyway it seems like a common sense approach to breaking the AI into smaller and easier to manage groups that are attending to their own self interest.

Sort of like grouping ships into a fleet does for military.
