I have been working on this map for years and I wanted to make it impossible to block map edge ports that were used for convoys, so I placed islands around them. The convoys drew on the map and I was able to save and play the map but I noticed those convoys that I had modified were not drawing on the map until the first waypoint.

Going back into the editor to have a look, I can no longer open the map getting the following message:
FAILED(draw_convoy_paths_on_map_surface): Segmentation violation

Is there a way to fix this?

I backed up the files but they were the most recent files and so the error is in them, too. I will be keeping 2 or 3 backup versions from here on.

Opening up the script file via Windows Explorer and removing the relevant convoy scripts might enable you to be able open the campaign in the editor again.

Typically you can find modded campaigns here:

C:\Users\[User Name]\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War In Europe\Campaigns

Sadly not. Still won't open.

My understanding is that the convoy.txt (and other scripts) gets 'baked into' the CGN when it is saved in the editor and it seems that the CGN is the problem. Can the CGN be edited - if I can find the offending code and remove it?
