I don't have the exact internal error code, but every time I try a battle or user scenario game will crash. My game is updated and only file I replaced was a sound file. any help is appreciated.

At what point do you see the crash? It sounds as if you're able to start the game and get to the command screen to select the battle you want to play.

I assume you are replacing one of the SFX files? These files are packed in a special format, so unless you have used a utility to unpack and repack the SFX file, or you have grabbed a sound mod made specifically for Panthers in the Fog, you could very well crash the game by replacing one of these files. I would recommend changing back to the stock sound files and seeing if the crash still occurs.

I can actually even start a battle, about 10 minutes in is when I get the internal error code.

Does the crash happen with the original game sound files?

Does it happen if you play a single battle or only with operations and campaigns?
