Question on purchase.txt AI file and DESTINATION_RESOURCE

It says that the plan is based on Country ID only and that each country ID can only have one plan.

The descriptions make no reference to DESTINATION_RESOURCE

I am asking because if a Plan can be both COUNTRY_ID and DESTINATION_RESOURCE then (in theory) you could have a USA Purchase AI for East Coast (Europe) and West Coast (Pacific).

Can someone please provide the necessary documentation on DESTINATION_RESOURCE

I looked at the World at War 1939 scenario and it looks like that is what was done but their is no documentation if a country can have more than 1 purchase file if the DESTINATION_RESOURCE is different. Or atleast it looks like plans are switched from east coast to west coast every 6 months.

One note

I changed the UK purchase to use DESTINATION_RESOURCE but it appears to be ignoring the location and continues to put the units in the capital.

I am thinking DESTINATION_RESOURCE for purchase.txt is not working.

Thanks and this omission in the template notes was noticed a little while ago while we were working on the Civil War game and has been updated for the next update of the game.

Here are the relevant notes:

; #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= Specifiy a particular Capital or Industrial Center location for the unit purchase placement calculations to originate from
; Format: x,y

; A #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= does not have to be specified and can be left blank. In this case the game engine will default to placement
; from the capital outwards.
