Hi,

since the forum was updated I cannot send private messages anymore. The keep stuck in the outbox and will not go to
the send item. Receiving is no problem but I cant respond.

Any ideas what to do or who could fix it?

I kind of have the same problem. Have been able to send private messages up to yesterday and now the one I tried to send is stuck in the outbox.

I think that they stay in the outbox until they are read. I agree it is a little counter-intuitive.

I can confirm this is true. They stay in the outbox until read. I have several friends that are forum members here and we communicated via text and regular email to figure out how the PM worked after the new forum was implemented.
I had 4 messages out sitting in the outbox..So I called, texted, or emailed each of the recipients and had them check their mailbox here (PM). As soon as each one 'read' my PM...poof the outbox started to get empty.
I'll have to say it was days of scratching my head and frustration to figure this out.
