I applied the v1.2 update this morning. Since then, the program hangs when loading the scenario. It never loads the scenario, but just displays the user interface with a black screen where the map should be that says "Loading...". Doesn't seem to matter which scenario is selected. I have attached the log files. There isn't a .btl file (since it never gets that far).

Looking at your supplied engine.log and inspecting the code, I have no explanation why your game launches would be hanging here:

What are your system specs? OS, RAM, etc.

All I can suggest at this point is to reinstall everything from scratch. Use Windows Add or Remove Programs to uninstall the game, reinstall with the original 1.0 installer, then apply the v1.20 patch. The patch is cumulative, so no need to apply any earlier patches. Just the original 1.0 install, and the latest v1.20 patch.

Another thing: After uninstalling the game via Windows Add or Remove Programs, in Windows File Explorer be sure to delete the entire game folder. Blow away the earlier game folder before you start over.

If a reinstall doesn't work, you might try installing

• to \Games\Matrix Games\Campaign Series Vietnam on ...
• on another disk, i.e. to (for example): C:\Games\Matrix Games\Campaign Series Vietnam

Occasionally there are really weird OS and disk issues where the game won't run in one place but runs fine in another.

Well, changing the drive seems to have done it. I first re-installed it on my D: drive, thinking I probably just had a corrupted patch install, and got the same results. Uninstalled again and re-installed on the default path (C:\Program Files(x86)\Matrix Games\...) and it works. Go figure. Thanks for the help.
