In the manual it says that a coastal defence unit reduces attacks that come from a coastal or beach hex.

1. What specifically is the reduction?

2. What constitutes a coastal hex? For example does it have to be 50% water?

Are the following hexes coastal hexes? 186,76 134,52 195,46 197,44.

Actually Coastal Defenses, unless WPP is different...

1) Add 30% bonus.
2) Make the terrain rough for attack, creating different bonuses.


That is all they do if I remember.

The attack can come from ANY side...not just beaches.
