heard that the armored Brigade is working on a new game engine, I haven't heard anything about it for a long time, I wonder if the devs will reveal some progress at an appropriate time. Thank you very much!

As far as official announcements are concerned, there is not much we can say because that is handled by marketing.

However, I can confirm that work is progressing quite well and, most importantly, on schedule.

We are just as eager to showcase what we have accomplished thus far, but I think we will hold off for a few more months. The graphics are still a bit rough because they are being developed concurrently with the features, but they are starting to take shape, and I believe they will have a significant impact. The official announcement will likely coincide with one of the yearly Matrix events.

This is fantastic news to hear, especially considering 2023 is only right around the corner, as PanzerCro mentioned. Nonetheless, I still encourage you to let the project cook for as long as need be. Albeit a different genre, the release of Distant Worlds 2 is all the evidence needed to dismiss people attacking prolonged development.

In terms of hopes for the future of Armored Brigade, I would really love to see infantry improved upon in the sequel, or more specifically their relationship with vehicles, as previously mentioned here: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 5&t=370603. Additionally, the implementation of resupplying units would be fantastic, a feature I am sure most fans have been eager to see since the beginning. As for graphics, I've never been one to complain (especially after years of Dwarf Fortress), and always thought Armored Brigade had a wonderful visual presentation from the get-go. Even still, any improvements in the graphical-department would be much appreciated, and should also work to drive more sales.

We do have a tentative date for showing the new engine for the first time, in the not-too-distant future.

The move to 3D puts this on a whole new level. Combat Mission may start to get some serious competition.
