Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact

Are there any compelling reasons for either Germany or the Soviet Union not to honor the partition of Poland? What are the disadvantages to either side for breaking the treaty?

If Germany says no to Molotov Ribbentrop then Germany gets better position to attack SU by having all of Poland but in turn SU mobilization goes up by about 20%. Depending on how fast you think you can blitz SU different players take different choices. An alternative that has less SU hit on Axis is to annex Lithuania (smaller mobilization hit).

If Russia does not invade Poland it does not receive a -5% mobilization hit. Allied player may do this to increase MPP if he thinks Russia won't get blitzed to hard.

OK arch - not seeing you on ELO board but would like to hear how this gambit plays out.

Accept an ELO game. Just like the one you offered me. :) Not quite sure where we're at with that?
