WADers are people who constantly say that even the most obvious flaws and issues are fine

i would like to say thank you for denying all of the posts that Axis players were making about game balance issues and pointing to a game design flaws

because of you, really good Axis players are not willing to provide feedback anymore, because obviously all of the issues that they will describe are actually not an issues, according to a WADers

because of you, WADers, is it such a joy to play as a Soviets

all of my Soviet games, 2 so far, ended up with a victory in `41
one AAR is on a forum

another game ended just today on turn 11 or 12 for an Axis

the only side effect of WADing is that i have to start a process of reorganizing the red army over and over again and when it just seems to be reorganized - Axis players just resigns
how ahistorically ...

so once again,
Spasibo Tovarischi

Motherland will not forget you!

P. S
This is Friday evening post, dont take it very serious, but remember that there is a grain of truth in every joke

If you can turn your turns around quickly, I would be happy to stomp all over your Soviet scum in a GC game…?

I mean, the game is about the war on the eastern front, which was pretty lopsided. The USSR threw away like 3 fronts in the first year through sheer incompetence and were able to still put themselves in a position where they were clearly going to win the war within 20 months of the invasion.

Anyways isn't your biggest complaint right now that 88 flak.is OP?

The OP complains about virtually everything. Is it any wonder people start to tune him out.

That is the precise way of thinking that kills a game.

I am not even trying to debate history, what ifs and what nots.

But the moment a game is spelled out to pan out as history, it annihilates the will of a player to plays it on the losing side that gets mercilessly battered down.

can you name game mechanics that favors only Axis?
i was thinking about it and in the best case they are equally useful for both sides
but there are plenty of game mechanics that favors Soviets only

I recently tried to enumerate the changes I would make to the game and realized that every one of them would be Axis buffs :D until a few of them are implemented or something similar WitE2 is on a pause. The most equal change to the game would be a 42feb-mar start since 41 is way to gamable especially for the soviet side.

This type of thread, even with its slightly humorous/harsh tone, is really important for this game.
It adds rigour and hopefully challenges the developers to consider alternative arguments for the better.
From my perspective as long as it's realistically and historically plausible then I'd encourage it.
Have the points in question been articulated to them (the devs) in an appropriate/digestible manner?
I'm fairly new to this game/community and have been so impressed.

this post is definitely not to the devs
devs and Joel are great
they have no problems accepting bug reports

but there are people that kills any discussion about game balance (or god forgive to say issues) at the start
so this post is dedicated for them

That is relative though.

Our PvP group perceives Axis minors as useless / best they stay in reserve / they just eat freight and give Soviets wins; while it was said they're fine.

How many of the group are up to play Axis atm with 100-100 stuff? -- Recent trend see some Soviet players offering Axis to play with 105 / 110 logistics (gradual increases), because Axis cannot even get and keep what they historically did in '41. (But prolly they get Sebastopol due to ports. But Stalino? Get there and starve. Rostov - mirage). I am not entering deeper on the matter in this thread.

In general if a '41 - '45 game (Campaign wise) resolves to a half a '41 campaign, there are huge problems.
Now if that was just Mister AlbertN, thinking the situation is disperate and surrenders - that is my problem. When it is the norm for the ample majority (of players I know / play against), it's another type of problem.

I made the mistake of following the link in Zebtucker's signature thinking it was a forum for discussion about HtH games, ideas etc.

Its not, its basically all complaining about one individual who seems to be trying to help people on this forum on a regular basis.

It seems that Stamb has some sort of issue as I assume he has someone very much in mind as 'people'. its almost a pity he is not honest enough to actually use the name?

I read plenty of other matrix forums for games I own or are interested in. This sort of passive-aggressive attack is unique and really off putting.

the only issue is that there will be no Axis players for PvP games

people already ask
why would i even play as an Axis?

Does not look promising for the future of this game, isn't it?

...
and this is incorrect
there were plenty of them that, surprisingly, are not even playing this game any more

odd, on the other forum you were very keen to use names and put the blame on one person? I felt very uncomfortable and cancelled any engagement with it.

as I say, this forum is unique for the type of posts that are made. There is nothing like this anywhere else
