Please don't unpause a new game after the initial zoom-in.

Why would you prefer the game to play on it's own when you just started it with many manual policies activated?
When you load a game it's paused for good. So please do the same when you start a new game.

Is it important? A few days doesn't change anything.

Yes, it is.

Just try to add research while the zooming and the game just starts in background even while it was paused.
And that's just one reason in addition to

And even if you do nothing but relax and watch the game zoom in on your future homeworld, why are you forced to hit the pause button and break the immersion?

Do I have to add more reasons?

Starting paused would be nice. And seems simple enough.

I believe this could be intentional, as the game needs to run for at least a day to update income, economy and pop growth (among other things).

They could certainly have the game start unpaused and then autopause after a day has passed.

That's a reasonable explanation. Now just reduce the speed to zero while performing these necessary initial updates. I'm pretty sure most have noticed new events firing while the game was paused for seconds, too.
