Artillery units in game?

I notice from watching some game play videos, that Artillery units are not really included in Brigade, Division or Corps forces. It is well known from the Napoleonic Era for example that Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery were for the most part integral and played very important rolls within land forces. Yes there are Siege Artillery in game and Mortars I believe, but as far as I'm aware no Artillery Batteries or Regiments available to build which I find very strange? Can Artillery be added as an upgrade to Brigades, Divisions and Corps.

One of the research paths for ihfantry ( Infantry Tactics I think but I may be wrong) specifically adds the benefits of artillery to combat values.
Having said that I think it would be a great help for potential purchasers if the manual could be released now so that such things can be clarified.

Thank you very much for information regarding Artillery in game use, I was hoping that artillery would be included somewhere within the game and as a research bonus option seems a logical one. I also think some access to the manual would be a great benefit to learn more about the game in greater detail before release next week.

That's correct, field artillery units are not represented directly in the campaigns that come with the game (although they are present in the editor, should a modder wish to use them). Artillery batteries are assumed to be a part of the general strength of brigades, divisions and corps rather than a unit in their own right, and better field pieces are included in the general Infantry and Cavalry Equipment upgrades.
