I`ve been using the few flak reg`s I have to bolster the front line by putting them in key Korps HQ`s but they don`t seem to participate often in combat. Admittedly the winter of 43/44 is poor.
It seems that they contribute little and yet consume a lot of supplies.
What do you them for? Do you put them in eastern cities or transfer them to Western Front? - or use them as I do?
Any thoughts much appreciated.

Directly attach them to divisions and watch as they obliterate enemy forces when defending.

You don't use them as attachments to on map units, including HQ. It's gamey. Send them to western europe.

God forbid anyone use a game mechanic that was clearly intended to allow support units attach to divisions to attach support units to divisions.

Bring your 88s on map and in general attach your AA on units - yes.
The Soviets presently have Flying Death Stars in the form of their bombers - namely Su2 and Il2.
The 88s can also historically perform very well against ground targets - despite the wrong belief that some people have about their function being exclusively anti-tank with supreme armour piercing weapons.
One just has to think if shooting planes up in the sky, they'd need to use armour piercing ammos - or highly frag ammos with a broad range. (That would naturally shred infantries advancing, as it was meant to shred planes).
Just bear in mind your 88s production is very low and once they get some beating here and there you will struggle to replace them.
