Can anyone recommend books on Order of Battles?

Can anyone please recommend books that give factual detail on order of battle of Confederate and Union force? I'm in the process of creating a mod that includes all forces Corps, Divisions, Brigades and Regiments.
Also a plea to allow more than 127 unit max in the editor, it used to be 255 but was reduced a couple of years ago I think, as I really want to add a great many Historical Regiments and Brigades as possible to be playable on the map.
