[RESOLVED] The game doesn't download images anymore -Build 1260.1

Hi all
As the title says, my game doesn't download the images of the database anymore. It started to have this problem with the beta build 1258.2 and it still have this issue with the 1260.1.
I tried to unistall it from steam and installing again, while istalling these new betas manually but nothing worked
Nothing serious, but I loved to see pictures of weapons and vehicles while playing
Did this happened to anyone before?

Go to the folder game folder
steamapps\common\Command - Modern Operations\Config
In there is a file called ExternalURLs.ini
Edit the file and check that has an entry pointing to the current download folder
Code: Select all
[RemoteImages]
MS1=https://warfaresims.slitherine.com/DBImages/
If not change it to the correct server. The server changed sometime back, but the INI wasn't. It has been changed for future updates (from 1260). Steam install hasn't caught up yet
The other thing to check while in that folder is in Command.INI
Code: Select all
1. UnitStatusImage = True
2. AllowInGameDownloads = True

I tried your solution, but it didn't work. Still have no images
And everything you wrote was already present in the .ini files, so I guess it's something different.

There have been issues in the past with betas this cycle being applied to the Steam version disabling all online functionality, though it's been fine for the past few beta releases from those I've spoken to and it shouldn't be an issue anymore.
Just curious, are the other online functions working correctly? This will at least help isolate to a problem with overall connectivity or just an issue with the photos downloading.
If you're not aware how to test this, If you zoom in close to an area you have not recently visited with BMNG layer on and then turn it off and switch to Satellite view while zoomed, if the area stays black and remains black as you pan around and does not fetch the tiles then all online functionality is not working.

It looks like it's a case of the beta disabling all online connectivity for Steam users again. I suspect is may have something to do with Steam DRM or the like. There's really no one for you to solve this, it has to be done on the devs end. Hopefully the next build allows online functionality for Steam users or better yet, they just push the current beta builds to Steam. It's frustrating we don't have the latest patch on the beta branch especially when the one posted on the forums causes issues.
Anyway, I'm glad we got to the bottom of it.

Thanks for the heads up on this. It was indeed an expired site certificate issue.
I got in touch with the site administrator, and this has been resolved now.

When you get a moment can you please report back if fixing the certificate issue resolved the issue with the other online functionality too such as fetching the tiles please, Endyamond.
I'm curious if there is still an issue with online functionality for Steam users using the new beta even though the certificate was fixed or if this fixed everything including the tile fetching since this was marked as resolved. This is an issue I've been tracking and doing my best to investigate with a few other members for awhile so it would be awesome to know.
