Doubts about cooperation

Hello everyone,

I have been searching within the manual (which doesn't explain it very clearly) and within this forum those doubts of mine, and I did not find what I am exactly looking for, so here I go with several questions that I guess they will also help other new players.

DOUBT 1
According to the chart of the game manual (which I attach), you can know how will your units cooperate looking into the horizontal part of the chart, which is according to their colours, that is pretty simple.

But to know exactly how your units will cooperate, you must know what appears on the vertical side of the chart, which is their "assigned support type". Where I can see this? Where is this information?

DOUBT 2
I attach here also an example of an attack in the 'AGS Hungarian Campaign 1944 (Russia)' scenario. Here, there is a combined attack bewteen two units:
- 9 Gds Mech Corps (that belongs to the '6 Gds Tank Army' formation) attacking from the east.
-8 Cavalry Div (that belongs to the '6 Fds Cav Corps' formation) attacking from the south.

How do they have full cooperation (golden flag) if they have different symbol color and the belong to different formations? Which case of the chart is this particular case?

Thank you a lot!

Support Scope is shown in the Formation Report.

From the chart you attached, they must have either Force or Free support to have Full Cooperation under that case.

Thank you all for your replies! They helped me a lot.

Yes, both the '6 Fds Cav Corps' and the '6 Gds Tank Army' formations have "Free support", that's why those units in my example have full cooperation (golden flag).

Now, I have another doubt. What if, and following with the units I posted above as an example, the '6 Fds Cav Corps' would have "Army support" and '6 Gds Tank Army' woud have "Force support"?

Each formation has a different assigned support type (vertical column of the chart) and each unit has the same icon background color and different symbol colour (horizontal boxes of the chart). What would be, then, the cooperation? Limited or full?

Thanks!

Full. It's best case.
