Dear developers, I enabled the 3D mod that came with the game but when I tried to also enable the 2D mod it gave me an error that it might be incompatible due to the presence of 3D mod. Also what exactly do both mods do? Thanks for any help.

I would add the 2D Blue Water mod first.
Then run the game, make sure the 2d map water changes to blue.
Then, close the game.
Open the mod enable and add the 3D terrain mod.
Then run the game.
This will change how the 3D Graphics look in the game.

Which mods, exactly, did you enable. How JSGME mod enabler works you can enable as many mods you want.
However, should several mods include same files, then it gives you a warning and greys out the previous mod, so you will need to disable them with latest first, then the earlier ones. See
HERE for an example of that.
As Jason points out, mods only take effect once you restart the game.

Thanks Berto! I had 3D and 2 D mods enabled but I noticed two 3D mods in JSGME mod enabler ? 3D tabletop gaming mod and community mod -3d tabletop gaming mod? One and the same? Thanks again

I would wage a guess you have two copies of the Tabletop 3D mod in your game at the moment: one downloaded from this subforum as posted by UMBRA_TSSI, and then one that came with an UPDATE with the prefix Community Mod as part of the name.
I'd disable both, then delete either one. Maybe the direct downloaded copy, as game UPDATEs might contain updates to mods as well.
