1864 scenario ends in 1864, not 1865

In the description, the 1864 scenario (Make Georgia Howl) is said to end in dec 1865 (33 turns).

However, a victory check is made in november 1864, which gives either side a minor victory by possessing 3 out of 5 key cities. These cities are the same for both sides. So, inevitably one side will always win on november 1864. (exception, CSA takes Washington AND at the same time loses 3 key cities, wich is extremely unlikely).

How can the game ever last until end 1865? Would disabling "game end date" allow further play? I'm guessing no, because this only disables the 1865 end.

You can play 1864 using the standard victory conditions (ie, an end date of 1865-12-30), by disabling the decision event DE 1007 when you start your game.

The campaign description refers to the fact that the campaign file itself is still set to end on 1865-12-30 if events in the game don't end the campaign earlier. The early victory conditions associated with DE 1007 are one of those "events".
