Formed new zone only the hex I formed it in ia part of that new zone.
No adjacent hex belong to the new zone so redraw doesnt work.
Try to construct assest next to the new zone, but it belong to the old
zone so no joy.

I am going to try maybe form zone next to alien zone border and a water hex.
(why, I dunno..lol. )
Also I built far away from any other assets own by old zone.

I am not sure if I understand correctly what your problem is.

Have you tried to:
1. left click on the hex where you created a new zone
2. press 'Z'
3. left click on hexes directly adjacent to the new zone hex

If the above does not work, it may be worthwhile to post some photos, maybe it is a bug.

Yes I have tried the Z key.
It says to redraw zone it has to touch two sides of the zone.

The new zone I created is totally surrounded by the old zone.
I can not redraw zone because of this.

I created a zone next to water.
Was able to redraw zones doing it this way.

Similar to 2F, have you tried:

Select(left click) the new zone hex
Right click the hex to menu to switch to zone border mode
Left click hexes around the new zone hex

The key is to always select the new zone hex before switch to zone border mode.

When in Zone Redraw mode, you have to choose which zone you are trying to expand. By default it selects the zone of the last selected hex. Try right-clicking on the settlement of your new zone and then start left-clicking to expand it

The restriction you are referring to does not apply to hexes adjacent to settlements.

Also, I think the game needs a turn to pass between setting up a new settlement and drawing a zone around it. Try passing a turn and see if you can now draw the new zone.
