I have always a hard time understanding what my empire is missing to research.
As well I have the feeling there is a "too much information" in the description.
I can not explain all of this overload, but some things can shrink in a better readable format as this picture points out:

Inserting a "We need" in the line above would also be nice.

You meant:
Research Threshold: We need a X% on Y research to ...

There you are also correct. That way it is better formulated. I did not write this while I also thought it would be nice, because I though a threshold is making clear that it is needed. But it would be clearer and also shorter when "Research threshold" is taken out.
