I think it has already been done, but in 1267.1 same planes (F-14A in the attached scenario) consume the same amount of fuel with different loadouts (a ferry and heavy CAP loadout).
It makes a Heavy CAP plane to stay 4h 40 mins till bingo at 150nm instead of 96 min as in the database.

I'm interested in this as well.
