1.06.57 update

v1.06.57– July 15, 2022
Changes & Fixes:
• Fixed a few more situations where shuttle missions were still not working as
intended. Escorts will now follow shuttle bombers if they have enough fuel, otherwise
they go back to home base. Stragglers will return to home base or the shuttle base,
whichever is closer. Detached groups will not receive new pilots or planes, and their
parent groups will only receive replacement planes and pilots very slowly.
• Fixed an issue where the ability for a night raid to stay on course was not considering
experience and fatigue, which was causing more night raids to “plow up the fields”
instead of hitting their targets.
• Softened that infernal “click” sound when selecting radio buttons.
• Aircraft will now always attempt to climb above balloons to minimize accidental
strikes against balloon cables.
• More fixes to “Auto Plan Raids” functionality. There is a method to setting up
autoraids; mainly, any fighters you order to sweep will not be available for escort
duty so try planning your bombing raids first because the AI only builds bombing
raids that can be effectively escorted.
• More minor tweaks to Attacker AI in BoB and BtR.
• Fixed a bug where the AI was selecting non-existent targets for a secondary target.
• Defender groups now display “time to ready” when selected at airbase.
• “Delay” time is now displayed dynamically when adding escorts to raids while setting
delay location by the map.
• Reconfigured some unnecessary routines to speed up play a little.
• Defender units Group Display now shows takeoff delay for group.
• Weapons Display will show more information about nightfighter radar and jamming
systems.
• Nightfighters won’t lose their systems upgrades when swapping cannons. And
replacements enter the game with current technology.

I was on 52 and not even aware. Upgrading to 57 now.

I have not had time to really play.

But I confirm TOT is correct when set during mission creation, and no longer must be redone as a mission edit. Well done. I don't even think you put that in the release notes.

Also, I notice when compared to some old screen shots you put the range to target (I assume from the FUP). Another nice touch.

Never in the field of software engineering has so much been owed to so few by so many!

PS: Among the WITE-2 mods dir, you will find a nice CLICK sound which works for all GGs games in the SOUNDS directory. It sounds more like a dull browser click, and less like a chambering of a round.

I've long ago edited the file that contains the "click"... hasn't bothered me since :-)

Go to your www.matrix.com my page; effectively the store front. You will find the games you own. In the EDBTR stuff you will find a link to the installer and latest patch.

Can you re-verify this? I think Matrix grabbed the patch before I could effect those changes. Also the radar site selection during raid planning - I didn't think that made it in and will have to wait for the next patch. I also fixed a BoB bug where the "knickebein" navigation wasn't showing up for KGr100 when selecting a lead group. The nav device works in the game (range=270 miles from the coast), it just wasn't show up when selecting. These will likely need to wait for the next patch, but they don't effect the overall gameplay.

No TOT is not in there. It must have been random luck the time I saw it. Sorry.
