Tanker Planner Settings

On the FLIGHT PLAN EDITOR screen there is a box (within a plane's Flight Plan) titled TANKER PLANNER SETTINGS. Obviously, it is associated with refueling as the title of the line is REFUEL.

Usually, this particular box is empty. In fact, I have only seen it used one time in only one scenario, and that was with the Broken Shield 3oo scenario, and it is for the Echo 01 strike.

The numbers "214748367" appear in the box. I can't see that those numbers are associated with anything at all.

Does anyone know what those numbers represent, or what that box is for?

There was a similar debate about these numbers a very long time ago..

Any idea what they mean? Any idea what people 'think' that they mean?

According to the Internet, 2147483647 has a special meaning in mathematics, and to programmers. Apparently, it is a value (possibly some kind of placeholder) that exists when the program has no valid response to the requested entry. So, while I don't understand the hidden meaning (if there is one), it appears that the number appears rather than being blank.

Why only that entry is unknown. Perhaps it had some kind of expected value at some point, and for now that number is merely occupying the space. It's safe to say that at the rate that the developers are adding things, that it will likely be filled with the proper data in the not-to-distant future.

Its the max value in a 32 bit integer. It means maximum for that field.

Was this logged as a bug?

Was this logged as a bug?

No. It was never logged as a bug. I initially asked if anyone knew what those numbers meant? They only appear, as far as I can tell, in one entry. That's what made me curious. After asking the question, I typed the numbers into the computer and did a search. As you no doubt have read, the numbers essentially represent infinity. So, I came to the conclusion that the numbers were probably delivered by the program because some sort of number was expected. Since that was the highest number that could be represented in this computer code, that is what appeared. It makes sense when you recognize that it apparently needed something to be filled in at that location. Now, why just that one entry having the number is a mystery, but it really is irrelevant at this point.
