AI odd choice in units

Playing the long ww2 campaign as Germany against Britian, meeting engagment and the Ai chose some tanks, mortars, and about 1000 points of British platoon HQ's, i checked the list after it was over and they only had 3 squads of regular infantry. Very weird.
I don't know if it had to do with all the hq's or what but after the Brits Morale was "broken" they fought harder and it got a little tougher.
This is the first time the AI has done something this silly for me.

I've noted this too. In several AI games, the AI would purchase a platoon of HQs and then hide them along the back of the map.
This has also happened with the personal shelters.
I'm beginning to think I don't care for the platoon and Btns of HQs as part of the available Oob. One is enough.

More than likely what happened is true troop rarity was set "on" and the AI ran out of infantry, so filled in with the next best thing.

I never play with true troop on, it's just asking for weirdness!! A great idea, but since it uses the radio code system for availability, lots of stuff isn't available for purchase, and some countries pick lists are already limited enough, like the two Spains, and Bulgaria, to name a few. In my efforts to make SP:Korean War, I've found this out, so I would recommend not using true troop rarity, unless you like weird!!!?? Some like the above only have anywhere from 5 to a max of maybe 7 or so different formations it can purchase (AI), and that depends on what battle stance!!
