Autoresolve?

Gentlemen,

This is great news. I have RTW 1 and 2. As an engineer, I especially love the ship and aircraft designing aspect of it.

My only complaint is eventually I get tired of running all the tactical battles. Sometimes it would be nice to hit an "autoresolve" button for the smaller or lopsided battles and keep the pace of the strategic game going. Has this function been added or are there plans for it?

Cheers,
CB

It was mentioned on the NWS forum, so I suspect so.

I'd like an auto resolve where you can still watch the action but the AI plays all sides using the stats of the commander to play aswell or as bad as he is.

So one where you actually play the battle, one where you watch the battle play out and one where it gives you the ned result of the battle. That would be cool.

Auto resolve would be a nice option in my opinion too.

I actually bought both 1 and 2, but left them behind because the tactical combat was too much of a hassle.
I would love to buy 3 if Auto resolve is an option.

It will be interesting to see if they decide to go in this direction. To my thinking, it kind of runs opposite to RTW's basic DNA, which is to be a tactical/operational game first and a strategic game second. But time will tell!

There is an option to "auto-run" any battle once you are in the battle resolution.
