Panaji - India

Post by canuckgamer »

I moved a transport to Panaji in India twice but the transport did not appear there. After the second attempt I noticed that even though there is a port symbol in the hex, hovering the cursor over the hex only displays that it is a main supply source and not a port. Is it supposed to be a port?

Odd...

I don't have that issue.

I have landed there with troops before.

I just tested it starting a hot seat and it worked so I have no clue what happened. However, if you move your cursor over Panaji it does not indicate that it is a port.

Is this a new game?

Is this steam or matrix buy?

We both purchased it from Matrix and our current PBEM game has been going on for about four months. We have both installed all the updates.

The next time I move a transport in our PBEM game to Panaji I will take a screenshot. Not sure when that will happen since it is not connected by rail. I attempted it because it was not garrisoned and I was anticipating a Japanese invasion.

I noticed that in your posted screenshot it does not indicate that it is a port which confirms what I am seeing.

Just to clarify my comment about your screenshot. I see that it indicates that it is a size 3 port. What I was referring to is the following. If you move your cursor over the following locations they have these descriptions.

Jaffna - Port
Colombo - Urban Port
Madras - Urban Port
Panani - City
Bombay - City

However, all of them display the anchor at the bottom with the port size. When I tried to move the transport to Panaji during a PBEM move it did not show the transport in Panaji. I clicked the Undo button and tried again and same result. I then noticed the above description and thought maybe that was the problem

Which scenario is this?

I looked in the updates and didn't see anything that changed.

Also is this the Axis or Allies moving into that port? There are India West Coast restrictions for the Axis player for getting supplies to these ports.

If you test and this happens again post this log.

C:\Users\aides\"your user name"\LocalLow\Kraken Studios\WarPlan Pacific\Player.log

I can't replicate the error and I don't ever remember there being one.

BTW future updates will ensure scenarios are always up to date with new updates.

You can not move directly into a port that you do not "own". You can clearly see it is blocked out in this screen shot.
You could land next to it and move in. But that is the best you can do.
