Japanese Replacement Build Rates Messed Up

Just returned from the game after a long break and noticed something odd with the build rates for Japanese devices. From this screen shot, it appears that the Japanese get no infantry squad replacements. Kind of tough to fight a war this way. I must be missing something, right?

Cute and very rich kitty! Unfortunately, however, your post doesn't help. Are you hinting that there is some DLC to purchase? No replacements until you buy the latest add on to the game? That doesn't seem like a Matrix way to go. (More like Paradox.)

The manual has a section on LCU Replacements. It explains how the Japanese pay for their troops.

Actually, it is very informative.
Reinforcements and Replacements start on page 254 of the manual and section 16.4.4 starting on page 260 deals with the land units.

I agree the post wasn't directly helpful but it was correct and you really should read the manual.
Basically there are two system for replacements, pool driven which the Allies use and demand driven which the Japanese mostly use. Basically, and I mean basically for Japan if they need replacement and they are in supply they get them. There are also many posts covering this.

I disagree, the post was helpful. It stated that payment is required. Payment such as manpower points, armament points, supply points, and/or vehicle points which if a person read the manual which I later posted where to look. I was busy when I posted the first time and when I had more time, I easily found the relevant part of the manual to read.

If you don't know the game reading 'payment is required' could mean absolutely anything, so no, it wasn't helpful. On the other hand saying read the manual was correct, too many players don't seem to but there's also mitigation there, the manual is out of date.

The person also stated that he was getting back into the game so a little refresher for the memory may have been all that is/was needed. As far as I know, for the replacements, the manual is not out of date.

Pages 233 and 234 are where the key details lie. A Japanese squad has a load cost of 19 (until 43 when they cut the squad size to 17). The cost to build a replacement squad is one armament point and one manpower point per point of load cost. The replacement squad will generally only be built if there is demand. You place demand on the replacement system by turning on replacements for a unit that is below its TOE strength.
This same principle works for all Japanese devices, though the input costs vary by device. For example, the cost for an AFV is one vehicle point and one manpower point.
