RIP Queen Elizabeth II!

She had a sense of humor and on at least one occasion pranked a few tourists who didn't recognize her Queen pranks American tourists.

The world has lost a magnificent leader, an inspiration to many and example to all. She will be dearly missed.

Goodbye, Your Majesty, and thanks for your service.

God bless and RIP Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. What a truly wonderful woman who dedicated her life to the role she was given and served her country and those that she was Queen of, with such devotion and distinction. A very, very sad day.......

Rest in Peace.

Not only did 15 COmmonwealth nations lose their head of state, but we all lost a piece of history.
Served in WW2, had PMs as diverce as Tatcher, Johnson and Churchill. Longest serving British monarch.
An amazing woman.

I find this thread very political. One life is worth another.
And as a Frenchman, I don't know what a king is for.

I'll hold my tongue on rico21's comments, but she was a wonderful Christian woman and Queen.

She was always grace, leadership, wisdom, and inspiration and the world is a lesser place without her in it.

God bless and keep her.

Bizarre you find the thread political given that the Queen was a constitutional monarch - and therefore above politics.

Amen! She was able to speak to heads of state the world over, including many who had fought against the British Empire to gain their independence. Her message was always the same - we wish you well in your endeavours to make life better for your people. She never criticized and always looked for common ground to build positive relationships. She never lashed back against criticism because that would create division rather than harmony. That illustrates her devotion to the idea of a Constitutional Monarch above the fray of politics. I always admired the steel determination it must have taken to do that for so many decades. RIP Gracious Queen.

She was already Queen when I was born. A symbol of stability. She will be missed. Rest in peace.

Hi BBfanboy, I was at an Arcade Fire concert on Thursday (I'll certainly remember where I was the day the Queen died) and the Canadian band played tribute to the Queen before the concert with a track by Louis Armstrong and a moment of silence. A very nice touch.

Yep, ncc1701e, me too. A constant in my almost 60 years on this planet. Watching the ceremony this morning was just weird. I mean, its a royal ceremony, and on more than one occasion I found myself absent mindedly thinking - when is the Queen arriving?!?!?!

I turn 70 in less than a month. So she was queen for the first 69 years and 11 months of me.
