Something to keep you company while you wait for Titans of Steel Warring Suns.

Did you make that, Rosary? It's really sweet.

Rosary, what graphics and animation programs do you use? I've been looking at Anim8or to try to create my own titan animations, but the interface is *very* hard to use use, for someone who's never used this sort of CAD before.
Nice walker.

Yes, that is true for all the graphics I've uploaded.

Thanks, Rosary, I'll have to have a look at them. It'd be fun to put my own illustrations in the Factory when I design a Titan. When I first looked at Anim8or, I was hoping to be able to make a sort of assemble-your-own-titan kit, with a series of menus for the vaious skeletons and bits of equipment. Ha! Much too complex for me.

Good luck with your project.

Here is a larger jpg of a Titan.

Looks like it's armed with rotating laser banks in the hands. I like. :)

Actually those happen to be Dual Vibro Blades.

Ah. another WS secret, like the EMP. :(

Hmm, it's not really a secret that WS has 3 new weapons. Or what they're called and what they do. There should be a couple of threads somewhere with lots of hints.

Let's see. I know of the EMP Gun and the Vibro Claws. Any hints what's behind door number three?

Electro-Magnetic Pulser (EMP)
Vibra Claw (VC)
Energy-Emission Guided Missile (GME)

Heatseekers!
I'm guessing they're short range guided missiles that tend to go for the engine?

They're not heatseekers, they're energy-emission seekers. Ok, heat is a form of energy, but GMEs lock onto power emissions from the target, like an active shield or an active scan being performed. Even the engine, in spite of its shielding, is a factor.
The old GMs, now called GMHs, are the heatseekers.

Its always good to have an resident Tosologist like Iceman.

Put some energy weapons in your squad with that gme titan so when the enemy turns off their shields they are toast either way.

I'm still more partial to the Vibra Claws. 5 points of damage internal, 5 points of damage external and a 60% chance you can kiss an internal system goodbye. I already can picture a "Bad Kitty" design based on this weapon.

The GME is an interesting concept. I didn't think the game mechanics would support such a weapon (variable range, hit bonus depending on enemy equipment). Well, one to toy around with.

Any word on the effectiveness of the EMP? Is it worthwhile or merely a "minor annoyance"? Also, is there any chance of inflicting "permanent" damage, as in "fried subsystems"? I know it does no damage per se, so I doubt it's usefulness somehow.

There's no permanent damaged, but it can be more than a mere annoyance if it shuts off your engine or gyro. :-) You tend to fall over fast. It can also turn off your life support, which, if you're running hot or getting hit, can cause your jock to be burned or suffer shock damage.

That's gonna be fun to pair with a BRG. :D
