So just started my first campaign as Japan. Is there a chart showing all the upgrades for planes?

And I’ve read some AARs and they talk about planning plane production; but it looks like it is all planned out already?
Or are they talking about picking which planes you will really need and stopping research on all others?
How do you choose? Like they all could be useful and are better than 1941 stock.

I suggest that you read some AARs that detail the answers that you are looking for. Mike Solli has a good one from years ago.
