Crash research multiple projects?

I noticed I can't crash research queued project which is btw being researched.
I have a queue where 2 projects are simultaneously researched (research limit set to 2), however only top most tech is crashed while 2nd one can't be crashed.
is this this how it's supposed to work or is it a bug?
I ofc. do have enouh cash on hand to initiate crash.

I appologize but I figured out the issue, it's that space ports don't count as additional research stations and thus do not contribute to being able to research additional techs simultaneously.
ex. 3 spaceports + 2 research stations means you can research 2 techs in same time and both of these are possible to be crashed.
