How do we measure distance ie. between spaceports and solar systems?
How much is ie. 1000 or 500 distance units?

Currently, the best way to get a sense of distance is to look at the jump range of a ship on the galaxy map. A measuring tool is in the works.

I'm now thinking to build several ships each of specific range only to use them to measure the galaxy

Back before release, a common figure was that "a solar system is 2 Million Units across".
I think that is still a apt figure.
