Looking for some help,
I get this error when trying to create a mission within the mission editor. I turned off the NVIDIA Sharing as mentioned at start up, I have updated the game, and checked the integrity of my game files. A screen snip of the error is attached, but I can't add the .scen file this web page returns a error stating it is an invalid file extension.

The most current version of the game is 1278.1 non-Steam. I am pretty sure a few of the mission editor fixes were in the later versions.

To clarify, I am running the Steam edition 1276.1, as mentioned before the game is up to date as far as I can tell. The error I get is both in the scenario editor and when playing the scenario I am working on. I was able to create a single recon mission in the scenario editor without issue. Then I started getting the error, so I saved the game and started outside of the editor just to see if I had the same problem just playing the simple scenario, I did... the attachments included are from that attempt.

And has been pointed out, this error was addressed in 1278.1.

Good to know... except this happened last night after a few days after the patch. so... Mind your business...

So nowhere did you state you were using 1278.1. You only stated you used 1276.1. And no scenario to go with it to boot. How about trying to help people trying to help? If you are using Steam, I think it only installs up top 1276.1. 1278/1 has top be installed manually.

Please see my last post, dated 10/10/2022. I was able to load a couple of extra files. note the save files and error message happened after your update, Also the link you sent seems to deal with a non-steam version of the game. If I am barking up the wrong tree or am misunderstanding something, please let me know.

Ok so help me out then... cause that's all I want, a bit of help... Download it and then copy it into your Steam directory where CMO resides. The devs release beta updates here until its stable enough to push out to Steam. If the beta issues are not stable enough for you, I'd suggest sticking with the stable release and getting out of the Steam beta program.

Thank you, I didn't understand that I could add 1278 over what I had on steam or how to accomplish that. I am all caught up and can now participate effectively. Anyways thanks for the help

just what is mentioned above I added/updated to the most recent Beta versions; I can add new missions without any issue so far.
