Pershing historical limits (ahem)

Nothing serious or urgent, but...just for fun, I thought I'd try giving myself the M26 Pershing six months early (or so) in the Big Red One DCG, by adjusting their point of introduction to, say, July 1944. Is this possible (that is, without hours of effort and/or major headaches)? If so, how would I go about it?
Any and all help gratefully received

Is it possible? Yes, but would take some work.
You'd to modify the platoon file to change the start date.
Change the organization date within the company/battalion files (in the campaign sections of the files) in order to reflect the new start date.
You'd have to modify the campaign file to ensure the new tank unit is being read.

Thanks for the help, worked a treat
In the midst of my tinkering, I find myself with another question. I wanted to tinker with the IS-2, specifically its "hard target" rating, which the in-game profile (from pressing F2) lists as 8.
So, I opened up its platoon file, to find the following:
P00024 5 6 14 45 0 0 37 19 45 2 4 1 12 0 1 24 17 P00024 7 97 16 1 0 15 44 2 53 12 20 13 12 IS-2 Heavy Tanks , IS-2 , Stalin
Some of this I've deciphered myself: the 5 6 14 45 string, for example, refers (I'm pretty sure) to SPs, VPs, defence rating, and movement points while firing, respectively. But the eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that none of the numbers listed above matches its hard target rating of 8.
Long story short (too late, I know. Sorry), does anybody which of these numbers relates to the IS-2's hard target rating, and how? Many (many!) thanks in advance, because I haven't a clue!

Oh yes, you can find the hard and soft attack values in the WEAPON.PDT file.
Just look for the unique ID and they are listed there.
